North East LEP Area Shadow ESIF Sub Committee informs the approval of local European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) project applications. This includes funding from ERDF, ESF and EAFRD.

Chaired by Paul Woolston the Committee brings together partner from the voluntary and community sector; trade unions; sustainability; small businesses; rural communities; the private sector; the North East Combined Authority; the managing authorities (Department for Communities and Local Government, Department for Work and Pensions, Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs and Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) ; higher education; further education; equalities and non-discrimination; education, skills and employment; and the County Durham Economic Partnership.
