We have four advisory boards who are responsible for driving delivery of the Strategic Economic Plan. We also have the Technical Officer Group, who assess new project grant funding applications, make recommendations on project applications to the board and thereafter monitor the performance of all projects approved by the board.
With the aim of driving new thinking around business support services, products and processes for growth and acceleration, the Business Growth Board brings together ambitious business representatives with members of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership Board and representatives from the area’s universities and colleges.
Improving skills in the North East workforce is fundamental to our economic future. We aim to meet the needs of each and every person living in our area. Our Employment and Skills Board brings together key stakeholders working in skills and employment in the North East. The Board includes representatives from our Board, the North East Combined Authority, universities, colleges and local businesses.
Our innovation priorities are about matching what’s needed with what’s possible – to create, progress and deliver economic value and social development. The Innovation Board brings together local and national innovation expertise and know-how.
